Pattern is based on a fragment of tablet woven band excavated in Kalsnavas, Latvia. A band with almost identical pattern was also found in Kri, Latvia. This headband is handwoven on tablets using fine Norwegian wool dyed with plants I collected myself from the forest near my house. Headband’s length is adjustable thanks to a drawstring.

It can be used just like it is, decorated with pendants or used as a part of more elaborate headdress. Ends are secured against unraveling by invisible stitches.
