Jinni Beens – Laura Heine – Advanced Applique Quilt Class has a pre-requisite Laura Heine – Applique Quilt Foundations class (please do not register for advanced class if you haven’t attended Foundation class run by a currently certified Laura Heine instructor)

Join us on for an advanced class in Laura Heine’s applique quilt foundations, led by Laura Heine-certified instructor Jinni B. Spend the day creating a stunning collage while mastering the techniques that make Laura Heine’s style unique.

Materials Needed:

• Required one of the following patterns:

  • LAURA HEINE – Dee Ceased Collage Quilt Pattern
  • LAURA HEINE – Seawell Pattern

• We Highly Recommend a kit to go with the patterns to stay on track with the class and focus on perfecting your techniques

  • LAURA HEINE – Nola Collage Kit
  • LAURA HEINE – Mia Collage Kit
  • Laura Heine – Dee Ceased Collage Quilt Kit
  • Laura Heine – Seawell Quilt Kit

Before Class:

• Only Steam-a-Seam 2 will be acceptable for this class (Lite Steam-a-Seam and/or Heat-n-Bond will not be accepted for this class)
• If you not using the kit:
  • Identify clearly which fabrics will be for what parts of the pattern
  • Cut out pieces of the fabrics as indicated on the pattern
• Pre-fuse all of your fabric with Steam-A-Seam 2 and cut out all the individual pre-fused fabrics
• Trim Steam-A-Seam lines around the fabric stickers
• Clearly sort your fabrics into background fabrics, actual main design fabrics and cuttables
  • Use your pattern to help you to identify which sizes and what type of fabrics you will need for each part of the design

Additional Supplies needed:

• STEAM-A-SEAM 2 -24″: yardage is indicated on your pattern
• LAURA HEINE – Collage Mat
• LAURA HEINE – Stiletto
• Laura Hein – Sew Tites
• LAURA HEINE FIBREWORKS – Laura’s Micro-Serrated Collage Scissors
• Cutterpillar light board (optional, but very useful)

No need to bring a sewing machine. Weve got you covered with irons, ironing boards, cutting mats, and rotary cutters available for your use.
