Constructed from a rayon/polyester blend instead of traditional cotton. This blend has some advantages over cotton. It produces less lint, and is virtually non-adherent. The lack of adhesion makes these sponges less traumatic for granulated wound areas that are fragile. Also, the rayon/polyester blend wicks moisture away from the wound faster. This in turn promotes a healthier healing environment.
